Spring is on its way and what better way to celebrate its return than with a short April getaway? A Scottish Springtime brings all the promises of Summer, without the crowds.
As the days get longer and the pleasant weather makes an appearance, the daffodils of Loch Melfort begin to poke their sleepy heads out in search of promised sunshine. The glorious blossoms of neighbouring Arduaine Gardens come alive and there’s never a better time to take a fresh morning walk and breathe in the clear, coastal, Spring air. As you head for an early stroll along our quiet pebbled beach, don’t forget to say, “good morning” to our friendly resident Highland cows.
2020 is Scotland’s Year of Coasts and Waters, and Spring is the ideal time to get out and explore everything that Argyll’s shores have to offer. Why not set sail with the experts and head out for a half day wildlife boat tour? These warmer months are a wonderful time to catch a glimpse of some of Scotland’s most interesting mammals and it’s not uncommon to spot seals, porpoise and otters along the way.
Those keen to explore dry land will find that Spring brings pleasing conditions for visits to the bustling nearby town of Oban. Our lush green surroundings also make the perfect the perfect spot for an easy (or adventurous) countryside ramble.
