Head Chef at Ardanaiseig Hotel for eight years.
Tell us a little about yourself:
I am from Derby. I have been in Scotland for 36 years. Got a job washing dishes at 14. The rest is history. The opportunity to join Loch Melfort Hotel came up, and it was the right move to make.
Favourite part of the job:
Working together as part of a very good team, front and back of house.
What do you enjoy outside work?
Switching off, walking the dog, eating out and good wine.
What should a guest not miss?
Don’t miss the gardens and the views in this part of Scotland.
Favourite thing on the menu:
The sea bass and catch of the day.
Favourite spot in the hotel:
Sitting on the decking in the sunshine with a cold beer.
Fun fact:
Behind the thick skin and stern face, there actually is a nice person. Honestly, there is!

Relax and let us take care of you. Put your worries to one side for a while.
