Since 1985 the Gardinier brothers have been at the very heart of Chateau Phelan Segur, the wine estate that was formed from the merging of two previous wine estates – Clos de Garramy and Segur. The brothers have been working for over two centuries with an extraordinary passion and full respect for the beautiful land. Located in the Bordeaux region of France, the Saint Estephe vineyards of Chateau Phelan Segur are situated on gravel, sand and clay based soils.

At 10 years old, the Chateau Phelan Segur is beginning to show its full potential as a classic vintage. With a smoky filled perfume that includes stone, wet earth, cassis and spice, this medium bodied is made from a blend of three grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The Chateau Phelan Segur is a rich velvety purple in colour, with notes of red fruit, spice and chocolate. It has a very smooth velvety finish, with a complex and rich body.

A clear success, this vintage shows a fine density and beautiful purity. We recommend decanting half an hour before serving with red meat or cheese.
