[first]Well this week it finally happened, the event we have been waiting for! The sea eagle chick actually left the nest.[/first]

For some weeks now he has been behaving like a twenty year old not keen to leave the comfort of the family home! His parents finally got fed up and have left him to his own devices until he realised that the easy life was over and it was time to set out on his own!

He is still around as are the parents and we are seeing them on most trips, soon he will have to look for his own territory and we hope that his parents will breed again next year in the same place. They have given so many of our guests so much pleasure seeing them up in the nest and close by.
