Sara has worked at Loch Melfort since 2019 – at first part-time then full-time once she left school. She was promoted to supervisor in July 2023, and had been taking part in a modern apprenticeship in hospitality supervision and leadership over the last year with 6 months more to go. She is aiming to move up in the hospitality industry.
Sara’s previous job before joining the Loch Melfort team was cleaning cottages at Craobh Haven Marina for a year. She never had any front of house experience beforehand. Once she joined our team, she started as a kitchen porter then moved to Front of House, on the bar.
Sara’s favourite part of the job is chatting and getting to know our guests…and their dogs!
Sara’s local recommendation to guests is to visit the islands off Oban such as Mull, Tiree and Kerrera.
