Ardfern Black Pudding

Ardfern Black Pudding – Scotland’s Marag at Its Best

Ardfern Black Pudding is crafted by two former Chefs who swapped restaurant kitchens for the rugged beauty of Argyll’s west coast. Driven by a shared passion for Scottish food heritage, they set out to make a black pudding that honours traditional methods while focusing on quality and simplicity.

What makes their pudding special isn’t just what goes in; it’s what’s left out. There are no gimmicks, just time-honoured ingredients, expertly balanced and hand-prepared in small batches to ensure consistency and depth of flavour.

Working from their rural base, the producers source ingredients carefully, often growing or raising much of what they use themselves. This connection to the land shines through in the final product. The pudding is bold and earthy, with just the right amount of spice and a satisfyingly crumbly texture.

Ardfern Black Pudding is regularly featured in our restaurant’s seasonal menus, whether accompanying a classic Scottish breakfast or elevating a more contemporary dish. Its versatility in the kitchen and robust character make it a favourite among our Chefs.

We’re proud to work with producers who share our commitment to quality, provenance, and sustainability. Ardfern Black Pudding is more than just a delicious ingredient; it reflects the care, craft, and community spirit that define food production in this part of Scotland.
