Now entering into its tenth year, Artmap Argyll is a collaboration working across the public, private and third sectors to promote and support the creation and presentation of art in Argyll. Promoting partnerships between individuals working in tourism, business, education and the creative arts, the Artmap aims to bring both social and economic benefit to the Argyll area. The Artmap’s brochure contains a detailed map of Argyll’s participating artists, with numbered red dots covering the Argyll area.

Artmap Argyll will be on between 25th and 28th August 2017.

The four-day event, featuring 49 artists & venues, gives the public an opportunity to visit artists’ at their studios without feeling any pressure to buy anything – it’s a chance to learn more about the artists, their artwork, and the processes they use as you follow the red dots through Argyll’s stunning naturally rich landscape.

Here at Loch Melfort, along with our stunning picturesque views, we will have various artists exhibiting both in the Hotel and Gardens including Karen Liversedge.

Karen Liversedge, Designer/Maker. Glass. Sculpture. Fashion.

I exhibit artworks at the Hotel throughout the year and will be demonstrating how to create mood boards during the weekend, 1-3pm

Experiment with ideas of your own too! See you at the Hotel.

Each red dot on the Artmap signifies where to find an artist, each showcasing their unique and individual approaches and skills to the making of their expressive artwork. Whether you have an interest in a certain creative form, such as painting, sculpture, glass, textile or willow, or you have a wide and varied interest, the Artmap has plenty to offer for everyone. There might even be opportunities to get hands on with some of the artists, giving you the perfect opportunity to try something new.
