Our neighbours at Arduaine Gardens have long been a favourite for Loch Melfort Hotel guests and visitors to Argyll. Pronounced as Ard-doo-a-nie, the grounds are famed for their year-round colour pallet and exotic blooms, encouraged by sea winds and the North Atlantic Drift.
Winter closures for Ardauine Gardens
To comply with a Statutory Plant Health Notice, Arduaine Gardens have announced that they will be closing from 30th September 2021 until April 1st, 2022. During this time, they will be conducting vital work to remove their remaining Japanese Larch. With over 400 trees to remove, this is no easy feat; process will include specialist climbing and rigging techniques to protect the plant collection beneath.
You can learn more about their plans on the Arduaine Blog.
