Christmas 2012

Christmas Activities

Local activities include boat trips and horse riding. Our reception staff are happy to help with
information and bookings. There are walks strenuous or gentle, but equally spectacular and
Argyll coastal leisurely drives. Sightseeing includes mountains and lochs, highlands and islands,
you may even see a seal off the shore if you are lucky. The Highland Cattle will be grazing in the
field in front of the hotel and happy, as always, for a pat on the head, or why not pop down to
the pond and say hello to the ducks for those that don’t want to venture too far!

Christmas Eve

Arrive at leisure and settle in.

Our Chartroom II Bar and Bistro is open all day for delicious meals and refreshments. Unwind
with a welcome drink and a slice of Christmas cake in front of the lounge fire. The Asknish Bay
Restaurant greets you in the evening with a sumptuous festive dinner from 7.00pm to 9.00pm.
Booking a dining time in advance is advisable. Our local church has a midnight service. Join us
for minced pies and mulled wine on return.

Christmas Day

A Merry Christmas to all!

A continental breakfast will be served between 8.30am and 10.00am in the Asknish Bay
Restaurant to give you time to open your stockings! Lunch will be served between 12.30pm
and 3.00pm for residents and non-residents. Details of Christmas day church services locally
are available at reception. From about 12.30pm, complimentary cocktails or something soft,
accompanied by our own canapés, will be served in the Cocktail Lounge, giving guests ample
opportunity to peruse the Christmas Day Luncheon menu at their leisure. Christmas luncheon
is a mouth-watering six course traditional feast with all the trimmings including our own
Christmas puddings, mince pies and chocolates. An interesting alternative choice for those that
don’t like traditional fare will also be offered using the best local ingredients. A fine Scottish
cheese board and sandwiches will be available in the lounge from 8.00pm for those who get the
nibbles later on.

What our customers say...

Rachel, Just a quick e-mail to say thank you for a fantastic relaxing break. We thoroughly enjoyed staying with you and the improvements you have made are wonderful. Once again the food was absolutely delicious and we don't think we will need to eat for a week now!! Please pass on our thanks to Brendan, Shonel and Mike who did their upmost to ensure we did not want for anything. We hope they are still there when we return to see you again, hopefully in the not too distant future. Once again many thanks,

Andrea, Rob and Lilly, Scotland
