As the nights draw in the best place to be is by a roaring fire with a dram of whisky at Loch Melfort. Spend the days outside on a brisk walk enjoying the scenery change daily with the weather or inside with a good book and the highland cattle and lambs to entertain you through the window of the cosy lounge.

Stay for two nights this spring with one night Dinner, Bed and Breakfast in our fine dining Restaurant for £98 per person and one night Bed and Breakfast for only £30 per person.
The National Trust Arduaine Gardens next door are at their best in the spring time with the Rhododendrons among many in bloom, not to mention the countryside coming to life with newborn animals.
Summer 3 Night Special: Available May – September
Stay for two nights Dinner Bed and Breakfast for £98 per person per night and get the third night for only £39pp Bed and Breakfast.
You can then choose where to eat on your Bed and Breakfast night from our 2 AA Rosette Restaurant or our Chartroom Bistro. Both are packed full of freshly caught sea food and local meats -the eggs even come from our own chickens.
Easter Treat: 6th-9th April
This Easter we are offering 2 nights Dinner Bed and Breakfast and one night Bed and Breakfast with an £18 allowance in the Chartroom II BIstro for £250 per person. Little ones will receive a free Easter egg on arrival plus Easter treats at your table on Easter Sunday.
What better way to celebrate Easter than in the picturesque countryside surrounded by newborn lambs, not to mention a few chocolaty treats along the way!
Not only do we have our very own Highland cattle and duck pond, but if you drive along any surrounding road you can’t help but be greeted by newborn lambs and calves – what better way to experience the true meaning of Easter. For extra Easter fun Arduaine Gardens will again be hosting an Easter egg hunt with lots of Easter related fun and games.
NTS Arduaine Garden Spring Festival: 4th-6th May
Celebrate springtime in Argyll and enjoy Arduaine Gardens at its best; “Thanks to our location, we are often preparing to burst into bloom when other gardens are still stuck in winter” says head gardener Maurice Wilkins.
Arduaine Gardens next door to Loch Melfort is again hosting a Spring Festival with a packed programme of guest speakers, tours with experts and gourmet dining.
Kerstin Price, researcher at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh will give a talk about “The Sea, Man and the Land,” putting man’s colonisation of Argyll into context along with talks by David Mitchell, conserver of the Royal Botanic Garden.
In the afternoon there will be a ‘Spring Festival’ in the grounds of Arduaine Gardens open to the general public with craft demonstrations, stalls and music. Participants of the weekend will be most welcome to stay and join in.
The weekend includes two nights’ accommodation, two gourmet dinners including a five course ‘Spring on a plate’ dinner, along with two breakfasts, morning coffee and a buffet lunch all for £295 per person or £395 for single occupancy.
For those not wishing to stay for the whole weekend there is also a £35pp option which includes two talks on Arduaine and Argyll in the spring, Tour with the Head Gardener/Property Manager of Arduaine Gardens, Coffee and buffet lunch on Saturday 5th May. Another option is £15pp with talk and tour on Arduaine and Argyll in the spring on Sunday 6th May. To join the gourmet dinner on either 4th or 5th May it is £50pp.
