2 Porpoises swimming just out of the bay between the islands. At low tide you can really see the sea life! Amazingly, given that we are Mid – October, I also watched two humans swimming in wets suits this afternoon across the bay!

Was sitting in the Chartroom Bistro with some friends when I spotted 3 porpoise playing in Asknish Bay. They surfaced several times over the space of about 10 minutes.

Saw a large heron sitting on top of the duck house as I went down to feed the ducks. Managed to get quite close before it took off and flew over the pond, the bay and back towards Arduaine Garden.

Two dragonflies were darting about just above the surface of the water of the Loch Melfort Hotel pond. The largest of our three Muscovy tried to peck them as they flew by!!

On a boat trip to the Corryvreckan whirlpool we saw two otters on the shore of Luing island. One was scampering over the rocks while the other was swimming and diving among the kelp. Usually otters are shy but these two seemed to like our attention
