For garden enthusiasts, sailors or just those wanting an informal place to have a meal and refreshments, the Chartroom II provides a wonderful balance of spectacular views, casual dining and delicious food.
Our legendary langoustines are served daily, along with scallops and mussels. All our food, including Highland Beef Burgers and Beer Battered Haddock are home-made and our policy of buying food locally wherever possible applies to all our dishes. Vegetarian options are also available. The Chartroom II directly overlooks Asknish Bay with wonderful views out to Shuna, Jura and Scarba as well as Skerries.
For sailors, why not moor up on one of our four private moorings, available free of charge from April – October and walk up the path from the slipway to enjoy lunch or supper. Our Bistro is also equipped with showers for those sailors who wish to have a clean and tidy up before eating! Plenty of hanging space for oilys is available and don’t worry about muddy wellies; we’ll soon clean up any mess you leave behind! Why not sit outside and enjoy a drink in our seating area and enjoy a magical sunset or just soak up the sun rays.
All Day Food Menu – Available 10am – 10pm in Chartroom Bistro or Guest Lounge
Family Friendly Bistro
The Chartroom II is family friendly and we serve children’s meals or half portions from our main menu. Highchairs and baby changing facilities are available, as well as a welcome box of toys and games to keep the little ones amused whilst you relax and enjoy the view. A children’s playground is available in front of the Bistro, so your children can burn some energy whilst you keep an eye on them from one of our new outside tables and chairs. At lunch time why not enjoy watching our Highland Cows, Campbell, Dougal and McDonald, being fed.
Teas, coffees, drinks and home baking are served all day from 11am to 10pm making a cafe style feel, with lunch served between 12-2:30pm and supper from 6-9pm. Even if you are driving past and want to stop for a break, or are looking for a warm fire and relaxing drink at the end of a hard day’s walking, then the Chartroom II is the place to head for, especially with free wi-fi available.
Hannah Tofts Art Work for Sale
Hannah collects the overlooked and cast away wherever she lives and travels, responding to her environment with paint, scissors and glue. Moving to Scotland after living in Amsterdam, Hannah exchanged canals for sea, tulips for tartan, stroopwafels for shortbread.
The Tartan Heart series was inspired by her 29 year old collection of Scottish Shortbread tins, now cut and nailed flat.
The Lost +Found series was inspired by her daily walks along the shores picking up plastics in winter and driftwood in summer. Making collages with her driftwood finds and lost childhood toys. assembled on the West Coast of Scotland, looking out to Jura, Scarba and Mull…
