High life in the Highlands
The Chartroom II bistro at the Loch Melfort Hotel specialises in locally caught seafood, including langoustines, lobster and crab, as well as serving up pasta, pies and burgers. I ordered lobster, which arrived split, grilled and topped with cream and parmesan, while my wife and sons tackled thick Highland beefburgers.
The food was superb – as was the view of Loch Melfort from the bistro and its gardens.
