Push open the broad oak door of this Scottish country house hotel to find yourself in the elegant Hall where a cheery welcome awaits you from Angela and the reception team. As you step into the warmth, comfort and tranquillity of this comfortable country family home, you cannot fail to notice the uniquely informal and relaxed atmosphere - there's a cosy bar and welcoming sitting rooms with squashy curl-up-and-read-a-book sofas next to our roaring log fire.
The Main House is principally Victorian, built by J. Arthur Campbell in 1896 – and some of the beautiful original features remain, including oak panelling and 19th century family portraits. Wonderful arrangements of fresh scented flowers adorn treasured occasional tables and bookcases. A plentiful supply of the latest lifestyle magazines are available in the lounges, or just sit and look at the view with afternoon tea, pre-dinner drink or night cap.
For the enthusiast, our library is full of books, both old and new, free wireless internet is available in all publice rooms and we have a far-ranging supply of board games and DVDs for those wishing to make their own entertainment. Choose to dine in our formal
AA 2 Rosette Asknish Bay Restaurant or, for a more relaxed meal, our
Bistro offers fabulous light meals and snacks. For truly special dining why not choose your own menu in our tasteful wood panelled library and enjoy
private dining for 2-18 people. At night ascend the staircase to one of the 5 Main House
luxury bedrooms or stroll through to the Cedar Wing to one of
20 ensuite bedrooms, all with balcony or terrace overlooking the truly breathtaking views.

Just a quick e-mail to say thank you for a fantastic relaxing break. We thoroughly enjoyed staying with you and the improvements you have made are wonderful. Once again the food was absolutely delicious and we don't think we will need to eat for a week now!! Please pass on our thanks to Brendan, Shonel and Mike who did their upmost to ensure we did not want for anything. We hope they are still there when we return to see you again, hopefully in the not too distant future.
